Creating a new presentation
If you have an idea for a presentation but don’t know where to start, we can work together to make it stunning! Using my proven presentation design methodology, we work together to develop your main messages, your stories, and your slides.
Here’s the Process:
- Download and complete my Presentation Brainstorming Worksheet to consolidate your ideas in once place.
- Our first meeting is a conversation where I learn more about your presentation goals are, who your audience is, and what you want to communicate.
- We create an outline of your presentation that creates a roadmap for the audience journey. If this is a remote presentation, we develop ways to ensure audience engagement and include them in the outline.
- I’ll create a Presentation Map, which is a storyboard/mockup of your presentation.
- After you’ve approved the Presentation Map, I’ll start on the slide design. Working with your own presentation template or designing a new one, I’ll start with a few layouts. Once you’ve approved these, I’ll create all of the presentation slides.

Overhauling an existing presentation
Some presentations are like Frankenstein’s monster, created from a mishmash of slides from various places. Presentations like these often don’t look good, since they’ve been designed by a multitude of people. And they can lose focus because slides are separated from their original context. If your presentation is getting out of hand, is too big, doesn’t look right, or isn’t getting the results you want, it’s time for a presentation overhaul!
We work together to determine what’s important and what isn’t. We figure out what your main presentation goals are. We restructure the presentation to better reach those goals. Then I redesign the slides, creating a new template or using your own.
